I hereby propose a detailed schedule, with deadlines for the discussion of each of the chapters of the Charter. It is my understanding that, if a specific chapter is approved prior to the established deadline, discussion will continue immediately on the following chapter.

Tuesday, August 21 and Wednesday, August 22: Chapter I, Democracy and the inter-American system

Thursday, August 23: Chapter II, Democracy and human rights

Friday, August 24 to Tuesday, August 28: Chapter III, Strengthening and defense of democracy (Democracy Clause)

Wednesday, August 29: Chapter IV, Democracy and electoral observation missions

Thursday, August 30: Chapter V, Promotion of democracy

Friday, August 31 to Monday, September 3: Revision and adjustments

Tuesday, September 4 and Wednesday, September 5: Style Committee

Thursday, September 6: Approval by the Permanent Council

Friday, September 7: Secretariat work

Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9: Travel to Lima
