The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and The MERCOSUR Institute
for Public Policies on Human Rights (IPPDH) announce the list of 100 chosen people for the
VI edition of International Course on Public Policies on Human Rights.
The selection was based on the criteria mentioned in the announcement, after an exhaustive
revision of each one of the 3180 postulations received, that has required an important effort,
due to the amount and quality of postulations.
The chosen people are officials from the public sector, responsible of designing, direction,
execution and evaluation of public policies and social organizations and associations
members, academics from MERCOSUR Member States and the Organization of American
States (OAS). Likewise, as well as taking into account the selection criteria, diversity
geographic representations, genders, disciplinary, institutional relevance have been
considered, and special weight was given to the performance of decision-making functions
&/or public policies impact.
We thank everyone who participated to the VI edition of International Course. The IACHR
and the IPPDH consider the number of postulations received as a reaffirmation of the
interest and current commitment to Human Rights in the region.
Draft Schedule:
- First phase: February 14 to April 25, 2023
