About the courses

In accordance with the IACHR's mandate to promote the observance and defense of human rights in the Americas, the IACHR has promotion and training activities to publicize its work, as well as to strengthen the capacity of States and civil society to use the Inter-American Human Rights System (IAHRS).

Throughout its history, the IACHR has worked to promote human rights through conferences, seminars, round tables, and multimedia material such as podcasts and videos with awareness and prevention campaigns. Simultaneously, it has created training courses on the ISHR, its mechanisms, and specific related topics. In recent years, it has also developed virtual tools to complement its training offerings. These include webinars, round tables, forums, short courses, as well as medium and long-term courses through virtual classrooms and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).
