Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP)
The Inter-American Committee 
on Ports (CIP) has as its objective to serve as a permanent Inter-American 
forum of the Member 
States of the Organization, for the strengthening of hemispheric cooperation 
in the area of port sector development, with the active cooperation and 
collaboration of the private sector. The CIP also proposes and examines 
hemispheric cooperation agreements and projects and promotes best practices for 
port sector activities. 
 The Authorities of CIP were elected at Ninth Meeting of CIP, held at 
the OAS headquarters in June of 2014.
