Sixth Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Education (CIE)

Sixth Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Education Welcome to the Website of the VI Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Education, to be held at the OAS Headquarters in Washington D.C., on October 14 and 15, 2014.

The main themes that will be addressed during this meeting will be the following:

1. Current status of activities in the context of the results of the Seventh Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education, the forty-third regular session of the OAS General Assembly, and the Sixth Summit of the Americas

2. Discussion of the construction of an Education Agenda with a collaborative and inter-sectoral approach according to the needs and priorities of the Member States.

a. Informative session on the state of the art of Education in the region in the context of the construction of the Education Agenda

b. Discussion on the lines of actions of the Education Agenda.

c. Discussion on mechanisms for the implementation, follow-up, and facilitation of the Education Agenda and its Plan of Action.

3. Election of new Authorities and Executive Committee of the CIE.

4. Theme, place and date of the VIII Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education. a. Discussion and consensus on the methodology of the VIII Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education.

5. Other Business
