Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

This module focuses on how youth participation, ethics,
and cooperation are essential pillars for building fair
and democratic communities. Schools play a key role in educating
young people who act responsibly, empathetically, and committed
to the common good.
In this regard, the Inter-American Democratic Charter (OAS,
2001) establishes:
Article 6: "It is the right and
responsibility of all citizens to participate in decisions
relating to their own development. This is also a necessary
condition for the full and effective exercise of democracy.
Promoting and fostering diverse forms of participation
strengthens democracy."
Article 27: "Special attention shall be
given to the development of programs and activities for the
education of children and youth as a means of ensuring the
continuance of democratic values, including liberty and
social justice.
